Due to protest actions in the local area, testing scheduled for Mahikeng and Rustenburg has been postponed indefinitely.. Anyone scheduled for testing on Sunday 13 May and Monday 14 May should contact the Academy with any queries. 0163669000.
Those individuals who have already completed the first phase will be notified by 31 May 2018, if they are invited to the next phase.

FIRST ROUND NOTIFICATION
On 15 March 2018, if you were invited to the next round, you would have received an SMS. The message will contain your unique test number. The SMS was long and therefore you should have received a number of SMS messages. Rustenburg SMS notifications was sent out on 16 March 2018.
If you have received the SMS messages and have a unique test number please make sure you take note of ALL the following instructions. You have to ensure that all the below instructions are adhered to.
Please arrive on time at the specific venue on the exact date. A small snack will be provided to the students writing tests. Please bring something to extra to eat and drink with you in case you get hungry.
Please note that we require the presence of both legal guardians (biological mother and father) to sign the consent form on the day of testing. If only one parent is able to come, please bring a signed letter or affidavit together with a copy of his/her ID stating that you have permission to sign consent on his / her behalf.
If a teacher is signing on behalf of the parents, please bring a signed letter/affidavit together with copies of the ID's of both parents stating that you are authorised to sign the consent letter on their behalf.
Should there be only one legal guardian, please bring any documents (e.g. death certificate, court order, an affidavit etc) that show you have full legal guardianship of your child.
Please do not go to any other testing venue except for the one to which you have been invited.
If you applied for 2019 and do not hear from the Academy by 15 March 2018 your application has not been successful.

The Selection Process
Once all applications have been received and screened, testing will be arranged for those applicants who meet the criteria. There are several stages to the selection process:
Stage 1: Entrance tests
Applicants who meet the initial criteria will be invited to write entrance tests, which will be held at a number of different venues throughout South Africa.
Stage 2: More extensive testing - academic and leadership potential
Further selection and more extensive testing of academic and leadership potential will follow.
Stage 3: Selection camps – clinical interviews and a range of psychological assessments
Final selection camps, lasting 2 or 3 days, will be held at the Academy later in the year.
Stage 4: Home visits and registration
All successful students will be registered at their homes at the end of the process.
