The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (The Academy) is a world-class educational platform for girls which is aimed at nurturing a new generation of dynamic women leaders. This residential boarding school is situated in Meyerton, Gauteng Province with just over 300 students enrolled in Grades 8 -12. Grade 12. Students write the Independent Examination Board (I.E.B.) NSC Examination.

The Academy invites enthusiastic and hardworking candidates who are either completing their relevant qualifications through a recognised tertiary institution or are in their third year of study.
The Residential Life Interns will support the Residence Department in creating a positive, safe, and inclusive student living environment. Interns will gain hands-on experience in managing residential programmes, assisting with student activities, and supporting the overall well-being of boarding students.
• A Matric certificate.
• Applicants must be in their 3rd year or have recently completed a degree/4-year diploma in Youth Care, Social Auxiliary Work, or a related field.
• Registered with SACSSP as a Social Auxiliary Worker or Youth Care Worker.
Due to the nature of this position, the successful incumbent will be required to:
• Work shifts.
• Live on the Academy premises while on Academy duty.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Experience in youth development programmes, tutoring, mentoring, leadership roles, or learner support environments will be advantageous.
• Demonstrate high levels of professionalism, competency and initiative.
• Act with integrity and uphold the Academy’s standards and values (Respect, Honour, Compassion, Service, Responsibility and Accountability).
• Sound understanding of child and adolescent development.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills.
